Erika Hovland, Founder

erika_professional headshot_low res_webErika Hovland has more than fifteen years experience in marketing, sales and project management, much of which has been focused on health-and-wellness-related industries.

As Founder and Managing Director of IOLITE Global Consulting, she advises businesses on marketing, sales and operational activities, and utilizes her skills, experiences and passion for entrepreneurship to build new brands and create strategies for market entry and growth.  Client engagements have spanned consumer product goods (CPG), pharmaceutical, life sciences, medical devices and business-to-business services industries in the United States, France and the United Kingdom.

As the Product Director of a pharmaceutical brand for a Fortune 500 company, Erika received top tier awards for excellence in marketing, and led her team to reach sales of more than $500 million.  She was a Promotion Manager for an anti-depressant that reached market leadership position with more than $2 billion in annual sales.  Additionally, her experience has included key roles in sales, customer service and project management.  During the multi-billion corporate merger of GlaxoSmithKline, she led large cross-functional projects to integrate operations and achieve significant on-going savings, and was recognized with numerous awards for outstanding project management.

Erika also teaches undergraduate courses in marketing as Adjunct Faculty at Temple University.  She has a Bachelors of Science from the University of Minnesota and a Masters in Business Administration from Temple University.

As a young child, Erika watched her Norwegian grandfather cut and polish stones that he would sell in his rock shop. She is proud to continue his legacy through Iolite Global Consulting by helping small businesses reveal their true brilliance.

When not working, Erika can be found hunting down the best coffee in the area, spending time with her family and traveling overseas.
